Homeless Elves

After casing the place, we picked our hiding spot.

We had some fun leaving Christmas elf decorations at Mom's today. Jeremy got the great idea to put notes in their hands, leave them on Mom's door step, ring the bell and RUN AWAY! I decided to come along for the ride. It will cheer her up while she's recovering. The hands have ''kung-fu grip," if you remember the 70's action figure commercials which are helpful in gripping notes.

We parked around the corner. It was drizzling rain. After casing the place, we picked our hiding spot. Jeremy placed the elf on the doorstep and rang the bell. DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG. We ran around the side of the house. So much fun sneaking around!

After the elf was adopted, we ran to the car. I got a little overexcited and ran past the car by about half a block. hehe The note said something like, "Hi, I'm Bob Claus. Santa says I'm in the way and kicked me out. Can I live with you?"

THE ELVES
We helped our friend move, and she gave us those 3 cute elves. They stand about 2 feet tall. Two look like Father Christmas with the gown and all. He's a bit willowy compared to modern day Santa. The other one is a little gnome that sings Jingle Bells and sways to the music. They look up at you with unsettlingly life-like eyes. We still have 2 elves. I think we're gonna do the same thing for her with them. I'll keep you posted.

UPDATE
My shoes got all muddy in the drizzling rain, so I left them on the porch. Stupid neighborhood kitten went pee on one!

Mom loved the elf. I visited her the next day. She thought it was from a church friend of hers. She brought up the subject of the elf like 3 or 4 times during the morning.

______________

Gave Mom Santa's other 2 brothers, "Larry Claus" and "Steve Claus." DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG .....RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY! She knew it was us by now! My friend Kelly delivered the last one. Mom doesn't know her, but wasn't fooled anyway. Kelly's a teen. She had the most fun of all, except Mom.
